Mohamed Ahid is a Senior Manager at Akademiya2063 (A2063) in charge of the information systems and spatial data.
Before Joining A2063 he worked for more than 5 years at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) as a web and database specialist where he led and developed several big platforms to improve and facilitate decision making and M&E systems.
He also conducted and participated in many geospatial projects for IFPRI in Africa.
Additional to that he plays an important role in providing technical support to the Regional Strategic Analysis Knowledge Support System (ReSAKSS), to the African Union and to regional partners across Africa.
Over the past 10 years, Mohamed has developed advanced skills in various technologies and techniques with focus on information systems development, geospatial data collection, analysis and visualization. He has implemented and led several data platforms management for organizations like the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) in Asia and the World Bank in Africa.
Mohamed Ahid has worked in different sectors from academia, government, private sector up to international organizations.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Chouaib Doukkali, Morocco and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Tunis El Manar, Tunisia.

Babacar Ceesay, Manager, Data-Centric Web Applications Department of Data Management, Digital Products and Technology
Babacar Ceesay is AKADEMIYA2063’s Data-centric web applications Manager. Prior to this position, he was a Website and Database Developer at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) in Senegal for over two years.
Babacar is both a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)® and COBIT® 5 implementer. He holds a Master’s Degree in Information Systems and Software Engineering from MIT Senegal.
His professional expertise is on IT service management and governance, project management and software engineering.
Before joining IFPRI, Babacar served as a software engineer in the private sector , lecturer in web development technologies at Institut Supérieur des Arts et Métiers du Numérique (SUP’ IMAX) in Dakar and held consultancy jobs for various national and international organizations.
