Advancing African Food-Energy-Water Nexus Solutions
As Africa confronts the interconnected challenges of food security, energy access, water scarcity, and climate resilience, innovative solutions that bridge these sectors are increasingly important. Agrivoltaics—the co-location of solar energy generation with agricultural production—offers a practical pathway for strengthening rural livelihoods while accelerating sustainable development at the nexus of food, energy, and water security.
To celebrate the launch of the African Agrivoltaics Platform Initiative (AAPI) and introduce this new continental collaboration vehicle to African leaders and stakeholders, the Consortium for Sustainable Agrivoltaics (C4SA) and AKADEMIYA2063 are pleased to host an exclusive, substantive networking reception during the Africa Food Systems Forum in Kigali, Rwanda.
This reception will bring together government leaders, development partners, financial institutions, private sector innovators, researchers, farmers, and others committed to building Africa’s next generation of sustainable food systems at the service of local entrepreneurs and communities.
